- All people should be able to use digital offers (e.g. websites), regardless of their physical and mental abilities
- Accessibility affects both the design and the function of a website, e.g.:
- Text font size: not too small, scalable
- Alternative texts for images
- (Color)Contrast
- Subtitles, transcript (also sign language) for videos
- Accessible websites are better for everyone: User Experience (UX)
- For example, if I break my right arm, I cannot use the mouse. On a well-built website I could use the keyboard
- Videos with subtitles can be viewed without headphones or in very noisy surroundings
