• All people should be able to use digital offers (e.g. websites), regardless of their physical and mental abilities
  • Accessibility affects both the design and the function of a website, e.g.:
    • Text font size: not too small, scalable
    • Alternative texts for images
    • (Color)Contrast
    • Subtitles, transcript (also sign language) for videos
  • Accessible websites are better for everyone: User Experience (UX)
    • For example, if I break my right arm, I cannot use the mouse. On a well-built website I could use the keyboard
    • Videos with subtitles can be viewed without headphones or in very noisy surroundings
